Who I Work With Copy

Almost everyone who turns out to be a spiritual seeker goes through at least one major transition in consciousness.  They go through a period of time when their relationship to God, the Universe or their spirit is transformed (in some cases, discovered) and what their life means, how it feels and even how it works changes forever.

People who decide to work with me have generally gone through such a transition or are faced with one now, whether they know it or not.

If you’re like most of my clients, you will identify with one of these three categories:

You have considered yourself a seeker for quite some time. You have been through a transformation, possibly a long time ago; you may even be facing another now.

You may have had an ongoing experience of following the path of your spirit, and either need help reconnecting or want to go deeper. But, you have taken it as far as you can go on your own.

You are looking to develop your connection to guidance and intuition, your ability to recognize and interpret themes and symbols, and your understanding of the connection between inner experience and outer reality.

You are looking for objective support and guidance to grow in your ability to use this information to affect the present and to integrate it into your daily life.

Things I hear clients in this category say:

  • “I’ve been working on this one area of my life that continues to mystify me. Can you help me see what I’m missing?”
  • “This one area used to make sense to me and now something has changed. Can you help me to see this in a new way?”
  • “A new thing has appeared out of nowhere and I have no idea what to make of it. Can you help me get a handle on this?”

You are going through an awakening – or have just emerged from one – and may or may not have any idea what’s happening.

If you aren’t lost, you probably are eager to get going exploring your new world and are hungry for new information. But, you could definitely use a spotter and a map.

If you are still in a haze, you may feel like something’s different, you’re just not sure what. All the rules have changed, and you don’t know what the new ones are.

You may feel kind of blissful or disoriented. Either way, there is the persistent suspicion of deeper meaning in the peculiar, coincidental or maybe even miraculous experiences you’re noticing.

The more you realize that this feeling is your spirit requesting to know you better, the more you’re likely to feel some urgency to find this inner voice and advocate.

Things I hear clients in this category say:

  • “I feel more than ever a need to connect to a sense of purpose. But I don’t know how to pursue it.”
  • “I’m struggling to develop a spiritual practice that feels personal and practical. I feel like I’m not the same person I used to be, and I feel like maybe even more wants to change.  How do I work with this process?”

You are about to begin – or are in the middle of – a transition and don’t know it.

This is the toughest group to recognize that you are in.

The trick is for you to realize you are going through a spiritual crisis and not just a “weird time.”

It can be characterized by a cluster of life issues or one dominant obstacle that holds up or shuts down a significant part of your life, and it may feel like life is working against you.  Or, it may seem like a normal problem that people just have to get through like the breakup of a relationship, the death of a pet or struggles in your work.

And yet, there’s more to it, and it just won’t go away. Often, old beliefs, habits and strategies that were once reliable no longer serve you.

Things I hear clients in this category say:

  • “I have a nagging feeling that there’s more to life than this.”
  • “I notice that too many of my choices are dictated by fear.”

If you’re considering Spiritual Direction, you’ll experience the most success, I find, if:

  • You identify in some way with being a seeker.
  • You are interested in making your spirit a priority in your life.
  • You are willing to practice regularly working with your spirit (including: preparing for sessions, taking notes during sessions and referring to them in the interim).
  • Your needs and focus are primarily in the area of spiritual growth as opposed to psychological healing.
  • You are open to, if not hungry for, new ideas and the prospect of growth and change.

If this sounds like you, please contact Christopher through the form here.

My approach does not focus on a single faith tradition or system, but instead upon helping each client to awaken to their particular truth and open up to the empowerment of following the unique path of their spirit, a path that is personal, meaningful and powerful.

How it works

I work with individual clients once a week in hour-long sessions by phone. Occasionally people anticipate that it will feel odd not to meet face-to-face, but in almost every case I find they are pleasantly surprised.

How to get started

If you feel you are interested in working with me, please fill out the form on the Contact Us page. I will contact you to find a time for an appointment for a trial session.

I look at our initial session together as a test drive for both sides.  I think it’s very important that it feels right for everybody.  If we both feel it is a good fit, we can proceed.  If not, I will encourage and if possible assist you in finding the person, system, way, book, etc. that can best address your needs.
