A very interesting perspective. It seems that sometimes it is not possible to move forward without examining the cause of the pain. Like stopping, taking off my shoe and finding the thorn, so I can remove it and heal.

So then by your idea here pain is of value in helping us to know something needs attention. Yes?

Very interesting. I wonder how we know when we are avoiding pain or fear? If we leave one pursuit alone because it has lost it's passion or doesn't seem to fulfill us, how do we know it's not fear? How do we know when our pursuits are truly our passion and not away of avoiding other pursuits that may have us intimidated or disappointed?

As a comedian I enjoy the performing and writing, but it seems to take so much constant pursuit. I often wonder if i am missing out on a fuller life because of the pursuit. If i didn't travel so much I could be more involved in the community, or writing for the local paper. I feel that fear of the unknown is stopping me from designing more pursuits in my life. I wonder how I can prioritize my passion so I can design the life I want. Which comes first, where I live? what i would like to do? I get intimidated when i think of a long term goal, maybe -- looking at only this year It would be less intimidating?
